Wine Storage News

Whether building a new home, converting an existing space in your home or adding new space with a wine room designed into the plan, construction of a custom wine storage room is critical to the wine maturation process. Keeping proper temperature and humidity levels are the key ingredients to the final outcome, which is the taste. Rooms that are not constructed properly or use the wrong refrigeration equipment can create maintenance issues within the home along with ruining a very expensive wine collection. Regular servicing of your refrigeration equipment will help insure peak performance and steady control of the room conditions.
Displaying a collection of wine can be handled in a variety of ways once the rack material has been selected. Wine can be stored in boxes, bins, open drawers, individually in vertical racks and individually in a horizontal display shelf. Traditionally, a variety of mahogany and oak species are used for racks, along with redwood. For a more modern appearance, powder coated steel or stainless steel racks can be used in various configurations. Call Omega Restoration & Remodeling for further information at 281-477-7858.
