Houston Custom Home Builders 2008
Custom home buyers expect endless choices when it comes to designing their homes,
and thanks to the wide reach of The Johnson Development Corp., luxury home
buyers have just such an array of options in Houston-area neighborhoods.
The well-established developer touts custom neighborhoods in each of its six
active communities, including two in Fort Bend County. Sienna Plantation boasts
eight custom neighborhoods, offering a mix of gated enclaves, acreage
homesites, golf course properties and more. Prices range from the $500,000s to
the multimillions.
Nearby Riverstone has just added two gated custom neighborhoods to its roster:
Hartford Landing, where homes are priced from the $800,000s, and Crescent View
Estates, where prices begin in the $900,000s. Each has a Sugar Land address,
borders the 110-acre Lake Riverstone and offers pricing into the many millions.
In northeast Houston, only 15 minutes from Downtown, Johnson Development Corp.
offers Fall Creek, the only master-planned golf course community inside Beltway
8. Fall
Creek’s custom neighborhoods surround Redstone Golf Club, home to the excitement of
the Shell Houston Open until at least 2012. Buyers can select from gated custom
neighborhoods offering water views, with homesites exceeding half an acre and
prices topping $2 million.
In League City, Johnson Development’s European-inspired Siena at Tuscan Lakes, a gated enclave of custom homes, is
destined to become the flagship address of the Bay Area. Four of Houston
’s premier custom builders offer designs from the $800,000s to the millions on
homesites secluded on cul-de-sac streets or bordering one of the many lakes
found throughout the development.
Johnson Development’s two newest communities, Edgewater and Woodforest, will soon offer custom
homesites. In the heart of Webster, Edgewater will provide its residents a
classic town setting on Clear Creek
’s peaceful north shore. Among its many amenities, Edgewater will have a marina
and offer its custom buyers something a bit different
— a custom home island where owners can house
their boats along one of the adjacent canals.
The first two custom home neighborhoods in Johnson’s Woodforest, a heavily forested community in Montgomery County, will offer a
mix of water view and golf course homesites, with homes priced from the
$750,000s. Most properties in Elk Trace average one acre and will border the
27-hole Woodforest Golf Club. Elk Reserve will offer 24 homesites staged around
2.5 acres of lakes and parks featuring abundant landscaping, decorative paving,
benches, a fountain and stone sculpture.
